Purebred Breeders - Puppy has ortho problem, required surgery, company will not pay all surgery costs...
Purebred Breeders contacted me today and has resolved this issue for me. They have made good by me.
They have agreed to provide reimbursement for the full cost of surgery, as I requested.
My dog is recovering, and now I can afford to pay for his physical therapy. My complaint is fully resolved.
Purebred website states on the website "Guarantee" that •We do not believe your puppy is replaceable but we do believe that sometimes the pain can be lessened in the company of another furry friend. In the unlikely event of the death of a puppy within one year from its birth due to genetics, or if the puppy is found to have congenital or hereditary disorders (within one year) which adversely affects the health of your puppy, we will replace the pet with another of equivalent value at no cost to you. The cause of death should be certified by a licensed veterinarian.
--- The total cost of x-ray, exam, and surgery was $1200. The dog cost $1995. Purebred states it will only reimburse for the "surgery" part of the bill, approx. $900.
I have asked Purebred to pay the entire cost of the surgery-- yes, they needed to take an x-ray to determine why my dog could not walk... NOW, Purebred states they will send me a new dog of the same value, AFTER I send my dog back to them.
Can't they just pay the total cost of the surgery at $1200 ? I could have taken my dog to an expensive orthopedic surgeon. Then the cost would have been $2300 for the surgery.
All I want is the full cost of the surgery at $1200. But now they are "pretending" they will actually send me a new dog of the same "value"? I want to know what would they do with my crippled 11 month old neutered male? How can they provide assurance the "new" puppy won't be a cripple too?
Monetary Loss: $1200.
